Year 4

Welcome to Year 4's page all about the fantastic things that we are doing in 4G and 4S!

We have had a brilliant year so far with lots of exciting things going on.  We are looking forward to another fantastic half term!

 Well done to our certificate winners this week - 6.6.25

 In Maths we have been learning about time.  We looked have been using digital and analogue clocks to tell the time.  We have also been converting between the 12 hour and 24 hour clock.

In English we have been looking at poetry.  Children looked at what makes a good performance and then worked in groups to perform a poem using a variety of techniques to make their perfromance exciting.

In Geography we are learning about our European neighbours and this week we looked at where we can find mountain ranges in Europe.  We researched what these mountains are like.

We are lucky enough to have a cricket coach teaching our PE for the next few weeks.  Make sure you remember your PE kit on a Tuesday.

 Next week is assessment week so we will be completing a reading, grammar, spelling and 3 maths papers.  There is nothing to worry about as they are all on topics we have been learning about this year.

We have a STEM day on Thursday and some children will be visiting Saint. Fillians Care Home on Friday.  Pictures of both these events will be added here.
