Year 3

Welcome to Year 3's page all about the wonderful things that we get up to in 3S and 3W.

We are looking forward to a great year with loads of brilliant things going on.

 Well done to our certificate winners this week!

Last week children completed their assessments in maths and literacy.  This week we will be editing our non chronolgcal reports about the Ancient Egyptian life.  We will then be presenting our finished reports.  We will be continuing to learn about place value in maths.

We have come to the end of unit about skeletons in Science and children will be assessed to see how much they can remember.

We will be continuing to learn about the Ancient Egyptians - last week we learnt all about the mummification process.  We have also started to mumify some apple pieces.

Children are still doing Martial Arts on a Tuesday afternoon - all children need a PE in school for this.

We will continue looking at how pneumatic systems work as part of our DT work. Last week we started to create our design - this week we will finish building our systems.

All children have started learning Spanish - last week we developed our understanding of how to introduce ourselves using 'Hola' and 'Buenos Dias'

 On Thursday this week all children will be taking part in a Divali dance workshop.  

On Friday we will be celebrating Black History Month.  Children will be looking at the lives and work of different artists.
